Even though the axles will not go in my ambulance, I thought I would at least share what engine/tranny is being paired up with the axles. I just picked up today a 2001 Caterpillar 3126B 190hp with a Fuller 5spd and steering gear out of a Freightliner school bus. Yup, a school bus with a stick. 106K miles on it.

Nice find. Is that an ECM on the driver side back of the block?
    Thanks, George

Yes, it is. I have the connectors, but the guy that removed the engine cut them off. The engine side connector is saveable, but the chassis side is wasted. I have a wiring diagram for the whole engine (from work) so I just need to get some replacement pins and make new leads. I also have the pedal and steering box from the bus.
