    Yup, they came that way.

It's just a snap-on cover. Delivered to the Military, I'd bet they all had the dome.

After reading all these horn button posts, I'm not sure what was original and what wasn't. I find it hard to imagine a military vehicle coming off the assembly line with a Jeep logo horn button. I worked on alot of these trucks in the motor pool while in the army and never ever saw a Jeep logo horn button. This is only my opinion, but I believe the smooth button cover in O.D. was the way it was meant to be.

I suspect that the smooth cover was original as well, but I also suspect that plastic in that application didn't last long in practical use. I also suspect that the replacements came through as the metal "Jeep" logo buttons to replace the originals.

The only other things on the entire truck that actually said Jeep were the valve cover and the tailgate.

Here is an original style smooth one on fleabay right now: http://www.ebay.com/itm/M715-Horn-Bu...item3f21749b0b

So the 3 'official' locations for the Jeep logo are:

    Valve Cover
    Accelerator Pedal
    Tailgate

    Agreed? Consensus?

Don't forget about the warranty decal on the dash.

It's a debate whether all trucks had those, too.
