    Smile Finally got my M715

Hooked up with REDNECK1 and purchased my M715 project .
Picked it up christmas day.Drove through 4 hours worth of rain and had alot of fun getting it moved out of Will's (REDNECK1) yard and up onto the trailer.
Got it back home and today managed to get the engine to turn over and actually fire off a couple of times. She aint running yet but she will be!!!!
I'm figuring I have about a two year project ahead of me.
    Lookin forward to it!!!!
I have wanted one of these since I drove them in the USMC.
    Thanks Will

Congrats. Would like to see the tree that present fit under.

You actually drove 715's in the Marines? Fellow Motor T Marine here. Semper FI. They were loooong gone by the time I was in. Didn't even have them sitting out in front of buildings on pedestals.

Default Yeah I drove an M715 in the USMC

Not much to tell really,I was a heavy Equipment mechanic attached to
Engineer Maint. CO .Second Maint.Battalion Camp Lejuene NC
We had an M715 With a Huge welder in the bed for a contact truck.
We always kept it parked inside the shop .
One day they told me to put a new engine in it (it probably had 10,000 miles on it) I put a brand new crate motor in it and two weeks later the sent it to the auction yard.
Wish I could have bought that pampered M715....
Loved driving it while we had it.
I have seen it written that the military phased these trucks out in the seventies but that M715 was on active duty in our unit till 1985
