    When I looked at your pictures, I had to laugh. Below is a picture of the truck that I drove whilst in the army in 1969. If you look at the bridge plate on the brush guard, you may see the same number . I was about 21 at the time.

    Ok Ed, nice start. You've got some work ahead of you, but alot of fun also. What exactly are the plans for it?

    Yes, the marking on the door should match the vehicle "Bridge Plate" number. I was just a smart arsed SP4 and the NCOs didn't seem to care whilst we were on our mission to Blanding, UT. We put many, many miles of personal driving on that truck whenever we could. Had I not driven one whilst I was in the army, I most likely would not ever have had the desire to have one now. I am 50-50 as to what number I will put on the truck. But I am leaning toward the subdued markings that we had in Germany.

    Here is the truck that I was assigned to in Germany, 1970. I hope to mark my truck to look like this one.
