    Default Fuel tank bolts

Does anyone have a fuel tank bolt that I could buy.
I have tried Memphis equipment and everything else I could think of.

    Thanks

What bolt? There are two on the straps and those are hardware items.

And to add to the above, whilst the military used fine thread (NF) on most of their stuff (so that it didn't shake loose as easy) you can just use coarse thread (NC) bolts and nuts. As Ron said, go to your ACE Hardware, Lowes or Home Depot etc.

I'm not sure what the thread or length is but I took one of mine to Ace hardware and bought 2 grade 8 bolts. You probably know this but Ace has a board in their bolt section to check what threads you need.

I missed the lock nut on the top, and rushing to get the tank out tore one in half. I thought it was just stuck form the rust but once the lock nut came off it came out by hand! anyways its not a problem, ace has a similar bolt in stock, its not exactly the same length but it was close enough. I would suggest getting one that is on the long side, as i did not and it was a little bit of a struggle to get the strap to reach with a shorter bolt. Just get a couple of different lenghts if your unsure about how long or short it should be.
