    Default Fuel pump rebuild revisited

I checked on the rebuild price at Then and Now Automotive, and the price went up to $145 plus shipping/handling. Price went up effective Feb. 15, 2011. I know several members have used their services in the past. I'm sending a spare pump to rebuild. I am going to swap it into my M715 to see if that improves over the pump I rebuilt with a NOS kit a couple years ago.

    I'll post my findings.

According to the gent I talked to on the phone from them today, you just send it to them, and they will rebuild it and then contact you for payment, and send it back to you. Going out tomorrow.

    More to come.

    Just an update.

Due to a couple delays, I finally sent it Priority mail on Friday the 20th. They called me today (Tuesday the 24th) at 1:30 pm and said it was done. That's fast. I now send payment and they ship it back.

Got the fuel pump today, 5-1-12. Looks better than a new one.

I just have to clean up the line compression fittings.

Only charged $125 instead of the $145 I stated above, that is for an A-C pump. The Carter pump is the $125 price.

They give you back all the pieces they took out as well.

Now I get to wait until the new stainless gas tank arrives to put it all together. Don't want to put crap from the old tank into the new pump.

Looks great. They have very quick service, which makes the cost even better.

I had mine rebuilt by them and am very impressed with their work!
