I removed the dash panel and welded up three 1/2", and six 1/4" holes drilled into it. Then, I, drilled a my own 1/2" hole, LOL, for the heater blower switch in it's proper location.
Now, I'm trying to figure out the best way to repair the rusted out cowling panel, @#$% Rats and their nest, what a stinken mess

After the all work last weekend, today I got to finish up and check it out. New matched set of belts installed today, new fuel sender is working, replacement alternator is working and she started right up after the oil pump re-timing and distributor reset. Set the distributor to 5 degrees BTDC and off she goes.

Next, waiting for a cooler day to install the new ignitor

I finally got around to putting a new-to-me mechanical fuel pump in my-m725. Some "helpful person" had substituted a 12 electric pump (tied to one battery, grrrr) So now hopefully the batteries will last a lot longer... Oh, what's the consensus on re-installing the vacuum driven windshield wipers? Worth it? or too much of a hassle?

The other weekend I finally got around to spray painting my new style LED military tail lights OD from the original tan colour. It was nice to finally have them match the truck.

I like having people behind me notice that my brakes are on.

Friday I installed the new gas tank and hooked it all up and it worked with no leaks. Helps to use a little WD40 on the big hose to get it all lined up.

    Scott,

Did you get it from Mike? I have one in my truck. No problems and no contaminated fuel issues... None! Maybe a little expensive. But peace of mind comes at a price... at least to me. Looks good. I didn't paint mine yet...

Ya. Stainless steel one. New sending unit with brass float, new wiring, new fuel lines, rebuilt fuel pump from Then and Now. New hose, too.

    Just pay the man.

Fish, I used a little pet jelly and a heat gun to install the new filler tube. It went on in a cinch! If anyone else has an issue hopefully this'll help
