Default Help finding an old thread - dash clips

I thought that I saved the thread, but didnt. I need a fastener that the gauge cluster screws into. I know someone found a source. I searched "dash" "gauge" and "Clip"

Anyone save that post, or did you start it? Thanks
    Thanks, George

" they're called Dzus (pronounced "zooss) fasteners, and they are 1/4 turn, . Midwest Military has them on page 10, $4 each for the clip, the stud, and the stud washer."

I have extra from when I ordered them. The shipping killed so I bought extra. Twelve dollars shipped for four if you want to save the shipping costs. These are the same as the factory original-the part that clips into the dash.

VPW has them as well George. If all the other places fall through, try them.

the motorcycle guys use these also, especially the racers to hold body work on. check ebay for them, they make different kinds. If shipping is so high ebay maybe a cheaper source, or ur local motorcycle shop will have them. Not a Harley dealer, but a sport bike shop, dont rule out the mom and pop shops, they have them also.

did you ever get your clip, saw some on ebay and remembered you, got mine from there.

You may go a head and get extras, when I took my dash apart 2 of them broke. It looked like they had been broke, but the screw was actually holding the clip together and holding the gauge plate on. Once I turned the screw everything fell apart.
