    Default connecting rod bearings

So I bid on ablinn rod bearing lot. received today. never know what your going get in an ablinn part lot. well all connecting rod bearrings are all the same part number and .020". so I think the rod bearings for the 230 are different for 1/3/5 cylinders compared 2/4/6 cylinders. Is this true???
Note: there are like 42bearings in this box...

I got to ask who is this ablinn person and how do they have so many parts available?
They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety

It's a company that supplies military truck parts. If you google AB Linn Company you will be able to check it out. Good luck.

They don't have a website. But you can call and they are nice people. If you buy something from them, it gets into the mail that day or the next business day. They are very honest and prompt. I have gotten brake shoes from them and they are excellent. Don't know if they still have them. Also got a NOS flywheel and clutch parts. Hope I never need them but I have them if I do!

I have not looked to verify but The tang or retaining dent and the oil hole are symmetrically opposite. I also got 2 rods, new from them, don't know what numbers they fit yet but if you need one just let me know. Joe

I just briefly looked at the 34P manual and it seems that in addition to the different rod bearings, there are different numbers for the rods as well, 1-3-5, 2-4-6 etc. Did not know that...

Thanks Don, we figured that out already. Thanks that made me laugh, If the rods were the same so would the bearings.
