Thread: NP200 rebuild kit

  1. #1

    Default NP200 rebuild kit

I stumbled upon this just now...

I know all of the bearings and seals are available individually, but I found a place that has a kit.

That should make life a lot easier if you don't have any stuff and need to rebuild the case.

As stated in other previous threads, and I found out first-hand on mine...

If the truck is driven for long periods after having blown out the seals and bearings due to getting them too hot driving too fast, (did that sound right?) the whole output shaft w/yoke will rub on the blown out seal housing and wear into it. Just putting on new seals will not take care of this problem. You will either need new yoke or weld/grind it down to get new seals to work properly. I had 3/16 inch play side-to-side, thats how bad it was.

I was going to rebuild it, but Phoenix gave me a nice NP200 that I bolted back in instead.

See the -34 manual for more detail.
