Thread: '85' chevy bench seat

    Default '85' chevy bench seat

Has anyone installed a bench seat out of a 73-87 chevy truck? I thought this was one of the options for a bench seat. Maybe i just dreamed it since this truck is on my mind alot. I bought a seat but when i measured the width it looks like it will be too wide. Unless the seat will mount far enough back for the plastic covers to clear the sides it does'nt look like it will work. The searchs i do now don't really bring up anything.

    Thanks, Andy

I think it'll be too wide based on the fact that the FSJ cabs are a little narrower. The fact that you measured it pretty much confirms that.

    Thanks Wrecker,
I went to pick up a deuce passenger seat today. When i got there he had a 77 J10 with a folding bench seat in good shape. I got it instead. He only wanted $50 for either one. I reckon i'll put the chevy bench seat up for sale.

    Hello defbob,
Yea,i think its a nice score also. The Deuce seat would probably look better but i have to keep my wife happy in order to spend more money on this truck. She wanted something a little more comfortable than the stock seats.
