Thread: Hard Top builds?

    Default Hard Top builds?

I've been searching and haven't really found anything on this. I saw one thread showing a top built for a M725-turned truck, but nothing else and that's not really the same. I'm pulling the cab on mine for some body reconstruction and and have been kicking around the idea of building a hard top while it's all in the garage. Anyone have any pics/tips/builds?

Most of the tops out there were put on by the FD or FS after the truck went out of service, most of the time they are just sheet metal welded in the shape of the top... thats how mines done and thats how the ones at my old FD where made.... here's a couple pics If you want close ups give me a day or so and ill see what i can do for ya.

Here is my truck when I got it. I don't have that hard top any more, I now have the canvas soft top. This was no doubt an issue top, two piece.
