    Default Gillespie Primer

Can someone tell me if the Gillespie Red Oxide Primer will wet sand like an automotive grade primer/surfacer?

Thank you, and one more thing... do you think 3 gallons of green will coat the body inside, under the hood, bottom of body and outside with troop seats or should I get 4? (and I am an Auto Collision Instructor so I pretend to know how to spray)

2 coats, 1 light and a thick second with the mix at 2:1 paint to Xylene inside and out of everything will probably get you done with 3 gallons. However, the more stuff you take apart to clean and paint. The paint usage goes up pretty fast. 4 gallons due to HAZMAT shipping is not much more than 3 gallons to your door. Go ahead and get 4.

Troop seats beg to be painted with a HVLP gun and still suck up paint like crazy. I am talking about fiberglass ones. I can imagine wood would be much worse.

i used 2 gallons and did everything except under the body, i thinned it with xylene and used hardener. i tried the red oxide primer, takes forever to dry, gummed up my sandpaper, gave up on it and went with a two part high buildprimer instead. just my.o2 worth
of my other trucks i wll not use the hardener. made it darker.
