    Default Help, with configuration of a chevy 327 v8 in my m-715

    Hello my friends, I need your help, I would put a chevy 327 v8 in my m-715, I need help on the camshaft which to choose, I shall V8 327 Vortec cilinder heads, camshaft which do you recommend? and intake manifold? I just want change, cam shaft, intake, carburetor, headers, and flat piston. Thanks

    I missed something did you make a choice?
    What ever you do. Don't give up much torque for that cool lopey idle.( is lopey a real word?)
    Are using an auto tranny! It would help letting the RPMS come up more into the power band while slipping the torque converter.
    Most of the Cam manufactures have engineers that will discuss your combo and give you some good advice.
    That little 327 is getting asked to move a lot.
    I have a manual/ 350 / stock rear gears. It has a 290 Hp old chevy cam.
    It goes ok. It is no speed demon (especially right now with all its parts spread all over the garage!) but it pulls good with the super low gears.
    A 327 is really kind of cool for a 60s era truck. Kinda fits right in.
