Default M726 Telephone Maint. truck restoration

Well, I added to the stable. The M715 was getting lonely, so I picked up a M726 telephone maintenance truck from GSA. Gotta get it home yet, but I'll show the pictures from the website.

She's got a bad original motor, but Jon was so gracious to supply a running motor to me last summer. Now it has a home. Will get a frame-off restoration this year.

    Welcome any thoughts and comments.

PS. Thanks cornholio for giving me the first tip on it.

Looks like a decent starting point. Lots of red paint to remove. But it will be neat to see one go back to green, as there are not a lot of them around that have been restored. Good Luck.

Yeah, she'll go all stock. Need to find or make the ladder racks that go in the back. It looks like it is made from angle and flat stock, right in my line of work...

Hopefully it will look as nice as new when I'm done (I wish).
