    Default Electrical troubleshooting TACOM report 1969

    Here's a link to a 1969 TACOM report on a "Electrical systems study for wheeled vehicles ... M715 (included)..."

    It has the most in-depth troubleshooting of any primary electrical device or circuit (batteries, starter, distributor, etc.) beyond the TM manuals.

    There is about 140 pages there.

    The one paragraph stated that military mechanics were relatively unskilled, and that troubleshooting of malfunctioning components is done by replacement. Over 50 percent of removed components were not defective.

    Some of this parallels the TM's, so it might not be new to some folks. Just throwing it out there....
