    Default pto interchangability?

I have an SM465/205 combo in my 715. I have the same Sm465/205 in my dually that I'm selling. Right now, I'm transfering the pto set up from the 205 in my dually onto the 715. This involves a hydraulic pump, tank, etc that I use for running a log splitter.
Since the layout under the trucks are very different, it would be easier to have the pto further forward on the tranny rather than the T-case.

That leads to the question: Will the pto from the T-case work on the transmission?

No, different teeth counts for sure and I think the angles of the teeth cut are different.
Remember if you didn't build it you can't call it yours.

I have a PTO for a SM465 that I would love to trade for one for a 205, . .if they are the right combination. . .Does your setup connect directly to the hydraulic pump or does it run a shaft drive to the pump?

It runs a shaft. I spent all day fabbing a crossmember and have it installed now. I'm dirty, I'm burned, I'm ant bit, I'm not pulling it out again. LOL.
