dana 60 front axle and diff swap

this maybe a dumb question but why cant i just change out the d 60 center diff with a dana 60 diff with the larger 1.50 dia 30 or 35 spline axle setup and reuse my 5.87 ring /pinion and have new d 60 30 or 35 spline axle shafts made and just install all of it back in the m715 d 60 housing . also i can get a new set of d60 axles made that are 30 to 40 % stronger than regular d60 axles for $300 . so would this be possible or just a dumb ideal ?

The housing needs to be modified for the larger axles if I remember correctly. There is a website that details doing this, but it requires a fair amount of work, then you end up sinking a ton of money into a set of odd bolt pattern, drum brake, closed-knuckle axles.
