Default Putting the stock d 70 r&p 5.87 in cucv rearend

Ive been told that i can put the r&p 5.87 from the stock d 60 into the cucv d 60 but what i would like to know is will the stock r&p 5.87 from the rear d 70 work in the cucv rearend ( i think its a 14 bolt rear but not sure ) . Because if i where to go with the cucv axles i want to keep the 5.87 gears

D60 stuff won't interchange with 14 bolt GM stuff. They are two different animals.

If you use the 5.87 ring and pinion in the CUCV housing, it will fit, but you will have to swap the spider gears from the CUCV into the 715 carrier, so that the axles will work. THe 715 axles spline count is different, and the axles are smaller.

I think the biggest ratio that you can get in a 14b is 513 or 538 : 1
