Is there a different carb that will work with this motor? cheaper than $280. or $350. that is all i could find plus that doesnt include the core charge they want. i really dont care if the air cleaner wont fit. i am working on a mod to remove it anyway and use the snorkel + filter instead

I have a carb that is missing the accelerator pump arm...it needs a rebuild I think...if you can find an accelerator pump arm, I know the price for what I have is way way less than those numbers...finding the arm may be tricky though...

The civvy 1920 carbs should physically bolt on...though the throttle and choke linkage may need tweaks...the fuel line comes in different so a bit of change there...the mixture screw might be in a different spot...but it would be hard to have it in a worse spot than the stock setup...

The civvy ones, for the most part, use a metal, not plastic like the 230's, accelerator pump arm...so that would be a plus...

How much do you want for it. i have a carb but it has alot of stripped screws. this and the pin and spring for the mech fuel pump is all i lack in geting the motor running. the next stop is new fuel and brake lines.
