Default Hot Water Heater Installation Question

    Hello Fellow Zoners,
I have a question about the installation of a Military Hunter HW30 under dash heater. I need to know where to hook up my heater hoses on the engine.
I know that one of the heater hoses connects to the passenger side of the water pump just above the lower radiator hose and I have seen photos like the one below showing the other heater hose running over to the area of the intake manafold but there already is a small hose over there and i do not see any other obivious hose fittings that are not occupied?
Any help (and Photos) would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks!
    Mike Spradlin

The pssenger side of the cylinder head has a square head plug toward the rear that is the point to get hot water from the motor to the heater core...it is between the #4 and #5 cylinders exhaust port. The stock setup uses a long J shaped pipe that threads into the head and spaces the rubber hose away from the head and exhaust manifold...they melt if they are too close...heres an image that shows the stock way:

If I look around, I might have one more of those J pipes in the shop...though I am not sure on that...

    Hello Jon,
    Thanks for the info!
If you find one of those tubes please let me know, I need to
get the heater hooked up so I can change the antifreeze.
It is only good to 0Deg and we have had some nights that were close to that!
By the way I want you to know that this site has been such a blessing to me
during the restoration of my truck. I have found everything that I have asked for
and some members have even sent me parts for almost nothing and some even for free.
It has been amazing!!! What a great group of Guys!! Thanks Again! Mike Spradlin
