    Default New M715 questions

Just picked up my new to me 67 M715. Fairly stock except a swapped in divorced 205. The body is pretty good but I need to locate some replacement rockers for the cab. It appears J-truck cabs are very similar. What year J-truck would I try to get replacement rockers from? Also looking for info on the hood mounted floodlight. My hood has 4 holes anyone have any parts from one? Also any locations to buy a softtop from. I only have a hardtop. Thanks for any and all help Jeff from Connecticut

The hood light is a blackout driving light. Kinda tough to find, check eBay and post something in the wanted forum here.
I think any J-truck rockers from about 65-91 will work. Gotta be the full-size version. Check http://www.ifsja.org.

For the soft top, you'd need to make sure you have the side window frames (mine were welded to the hardtop when I got my truck, so I had to get new ones) and the two bows.

The blackout driving light for the hood is actually quite easy to find, along with the brush guard. It's the base that the brush guard mounts to that bolts to the hood that's the trouble. But Vrod (?) was making some to sell at a very reasonable price. It's just bent sheetmetal with a few holes drilled in it, actually.

Would FSJ Wagoneers be good donors for rockers? I've often wondered, but never thought to ask.

    Welcome aboard, Sveng!

Thanks for clarifying, Binford. Yes, it's the curved base that is the rare part.

My understanding (and this may be wrong) is that from the front doors forward, pretty much any full size Jeep in that time period shares most of the sheet metal (hood, rockers, doors, front fenders, etc.).
