    Default engine angle

    Allrighty then
I have frame horns removed. I have Transdapt crossmember motormount trimmed to fit. I may get so lucky as to be able to use 2 of the 4 shock mount bolt holes to position the crossmember.
What I need to know is the proper forward and aft angle to mount the engine at. I know I have read it a dozen times. But I can't remember.
If the rain will stop. I will drop the engine and tranny in AGAIN sat. My google search was fruitless.
I appreciate any info yall can give me.

Is your t-case still mounted? If it is, bolt your transmission up to the short shaft to get the front to back distance then line the transmisison up left/right and level with the tcase. That will get your cross member correct.

Then match up the yoke angles between the trans and t-case by raising or lowering the engine front. When that is correct, the carb mount on the engine should be within a degree or two of perfectly level in all directions. Up to about 3-4 degrees backward is ok. The more back it goes, the more valve cover gasket leaks and rear valve seals will cause the oil to come out.
Remember if you didn't build it you can't call it yours.
