    Recent pics of the M715
Post by beast on Jun 20, 2006, 3:32pm

I was looking today and realized I didn't have any decent recent pics of the M715 since I had spent all my time finishing up the deuce. So I ran out and took a few and posted them up to my site. Here are a few

    The rest are here http://www.davidallenracing.com/M715.htm
It was just alot of little things that I had done since the big restoration finish last year.

looks great as always - you do need to remove that non-regulation steering wheel cover though.

    and floor mats? geez!

Neither is the V8 under the hood

The 8 ball beats the leather wrapped CJ one that was on it when I bought it. And I f I could ever find a stearing wheel that wasn't cracked to nuts I buy it.

The shift nob and the steering wheel cover could be accetible GI mods circa 1968/69 vietnam. But those tires just kill the overall GI look. It needs NDT and then it would be smoking...In my humble opinion. Oh and add more gear. Like a steel pot with the vietnam era cover on it with black sharpie writing on it like an ace of spades or sometin and some canvas web gear...that would make it the shizzle!

Yep, Kaiser warranty decal. I got it here http://www.flmv.net/DECALS.htm

The rest of the markings are from http://home.thinkextreme.net/~schwarzd/

John, I keep telling ya to bring that thing across the lake and leave it with me for a while. I'll get her looking like new again. I did my complete frame off in 4 months on the 715 and 6 weeks for the quicky on the deuce.

Joe, I have the steel pot with an authentic mitchell pattern cover and M56 web gear and second pattern jungle fatigues, boonie cap, a couple ruck sacks and also a set special forces tiger stripe fatigues. I can deck it all out when I take it to displays. As far as the tires go though, I like my swamper radials a lot better than NDT's because I do drive this truck quite often and prefer the ride of the radials over the old hard bias NDTs, especially in the rain.
