    From the parts file:

the Shocks I installed tonight are Napa#94009 and #94080
    stock height
    from Cutworm 68 #5163 11/29/99

When I replaced my stock shocks, I measured the front and rears and they were the same. The book list them as:
    Compressed 12 9/16
    Extended 20 9/16
    from brute4c #2850 7/17/99

In 1998 I installed rancho adjustable shocks. The catalog lists shocks for stock 63-73 Gladiator's and Gladiator's with 2-3" lift. The lifted size in catalog matched
what I measured. They are, Front RS9116, Rear RS9118. or RS5116 and RS5118. I have done some suspension flexing on trails and I haven't noticed any size
problems. This is with stock springs.
    from RichardM715 #2843 7/16/99

The shock part number for a J-truck that will work on an M-715 is RS9118.
    from snakeyes tx #2810 7/15/99

I have Rancho's adjustables. Front RS9216, Rear RS9218. Stock springs and axles.

I don't know if you have a Big A auto parts but I have a Big A part number. It is Big A plus G67311 and that is a gas charged shock.

That is the first lesson for any new M715 owner. NEVER tell the parts counter guy what you're buying parts for until after he looks up the part numbers you give him.
    I made one guy cry...

It's fun to go back to the same store and watch the new guy come to the counter to wait on you while the other employees that know what you need parts for stand back and laugh at the look on his face.

I have the RS9118's on mine. They fit fine. They were spec'd for a Grand Wagoneer with a 3" lift.
