Actually I think he's in Waller, Texas.
About an hour north of Houston. If it's Don Hart Radiator.
He did a tank for me years ago, and the price quoted sounds right. I delivered it and picked it up. (I was working at our Houston office that month.)
I think the warranty is great, but weigh that against cost of a replacement NOS tank from another vehicle, vs. a custom tank.
Bottom line: Is original what you want, or do you want non-original and upgraded? Spend as required.
To clean the tank out your own self (no BS): Place it on a rotisserie type jig to roll it over and over, fill it with a couple pounds of clean sand and cut up links from 3/8 logging chain and seal the openings. Let the set up run (Theme from Rawhide: Rollin', Rollin', Rollin',.....) Reverse the direction every 8 hours and the inside will be returned to clean white metal after a few days. I have seen people do this, and it is labor intensive to set up, but it works like a champ.
Seal it and call it good.
