Thread: The Shelter Pix I Promised

Default The Shelter Pix I Promised

I promised pictures of the shelter installation and the finished product. No, the shelter does not match the truck color. They rarely, if ever, did. Even today you will see a OD truck with a desert tan shelter or the reverse. You used what you had. I had real heartburn about this but decided to go with the "stock" look and keep the shelter's original color.

That looks great! I think you made the right decision about leaving it the original color.

Looks real nice. Is that radio gear all complete, or do they take out key components so they don't work?

100% operational and complete. I have used it many times and have worked Europe with just the 15' whip. I copy the RTTY weather reports often, just to keep the equipment in tune.

Yes, the perforator is music to my ears. The old TT-98 was removed in favor of the UGC-74 data terminal. It's hard to keep the old machines running at100wpm. These had both so it was an easy swap as the holes were there.
