    Default Starting Issues.

    What is the peice of electrial equipment on the driver fender, poasitive and negative battery terminals are on either side, one large wire goes from it to the starting motor, and I believe the ignition also hits a screw on top of this piece.

    I believe you are talking about where the slave cable hooks up. Is it round with a cap that screws on it? Do you have a picture?

    sounds like the slave cable connection. Used to jump start the truck (or jump start others) when the battery is dead.

    Or a ford-style starter solenoid someone added to replace the foot switch.
