    Default sprung wieght for coilovers?

Does any one know the sprung weight of an m715? I do not have access to any type of scale large enough to check corner weight for coil overs. any help here would be a ton of help! it is not mobile so I can not drive to a scale and check it even with unsprung weight. has anyone on this site used coilovers on an m715?

Coilovers have been used at least once...saw a couple pics on a different site...dont know the details.

Springs, figure 80 to 100 pounds each.
Axles, I guess in the 4-500 pound range complete with brakes.
    Tire/wheel combo 60-70 maybe?

    So roughly:
    (90*4)+(450*2)+(65*4)=1520

    roughly...

thank you for the input! although I believe you provided the un-sprung weight. and I need the sprung weight (body, frame, engine, everthing the springs hold up) if you can remember the web site where you found the previous coilover design I would be very greatful! thank you for the input

Well...empty weight from the factry is 500 lbs according to te book...I weighed my truck on a scale with 1/4 tank of gas, canvas top, troop seats and a spare...5350 pounds.

    So...

    5350-1520=3830

    again...roughly...

heres is a link with a touch of info:
    Coil Suspension

The one I was thinking of before is a highly modified truck with a big diesel I think...might have been on one of the diesel boards.

There is a blurb about a coiled rig on Pirate. You could try contacting the poster for more info. Let us know what you find out.

Actually, the stock wheel/tire combo is around 120 lbs each.
