    Default 3053 tranny

Looking to swap my auto setup for a manual using a Spicer 3053 tranny

    I found that there's 3 style ...

    3053 4 speed
    3053A 4 speed with .85 OD
    3053B 4 speed with .75 OD

Just for my personal use .... Where the B version have been made ?? on which truck ??

Sorry to ask but up here in Canada our M35 only have auto tranny. My local military scrap yard must have at least 30 of those auto tranny .... but our M35 never cames with 3053 ....

With my current setup ---) rockwell A618 and 42 inches tires at 50 mph

    A618---) 1880 rpm

    Nv4500---) 1960 rpm
    Spicer 3053A---) 2285 rpm
    Spicer 3053B---) 2000

So if i limit my rpm to 2000 .... with the Spicer i will be stalled at 44mph. It's not very fast but ......... it's a M715 !!!

The B model is out there. Just not very many. A few companies advertise all the way down to .62 OD gears. I have never seen or heard reports of them installed however.
Remember if you didn't build it you can't call it yours.
