    Default Where to buy Durabak.

I've gotten the tub mounted to the frame and now it's time to finish the floors. From all the cobbled in welding and mismatched patches I've had to make, after painting it it looked like a sack of marbles.
Soooo, I looked on the web to research the different bed liner/coatings available. Not to mention searching the Zone. Anyway I've decided to go with Durabak but they want $120 bucks a gallon, shipping and hazmat fee's not included.
Question is, who carries Durabak as an onshelf item that I wouldn't have to pay all the extra? Anybody know?
I've checked all the local autoparts stores and all they carry is Herculiner which is only about 1/16th" thick. I need about 1/4" to hide all the ugly.

got a link for you. these people can ship it to a fourwheel parts wholesale store if you got one close.that would save some of the shipping,I'd bet they still get ya for the Haz-mat.
I've used the herculiner. I did my old TJ floors and I did the entire diamond plate floor of my car hauler trailer. It is just like you said only about 1/8 inch thick. I used 2 coats and it bonds to itself so.you can touch up any future problems.
I'm in the middle of a small block swap/dual resevoir master cylinder install/and floor pan repair. I'd really be interested in hearing how the durabak works out for you.

Hey thanks. Wow, it's still pretty expensive. Might wait a little while on that. May just stick with bondo and paint.....

http://www.durabak.com I believe is their website. I've order Durabak coatings a couple times now and just finished the floor and bow topside of my boat. I love the stuff.

I have found that most bedliner brands will build, if you let the first coat tack up good and use a really heavy nap roller. Not the plastic thing that comes with the kits. Get a roller that is made for painting cinderblock or stucco. It will get messy, but it will do the job even with the Dupli-Color cheap stuff. I did the inside of my Dodge van floor, and it turned out pretty good for an econo job.

The last coat you can do with the plastic roller in the kit for the texture if you want.

My shop has been selling and applying Durabak for more than 10 years now without any problems.
