Thread: stock fuel tank?

    Default stock fuel tank?

    how do you know if its a stock tank? i need a new sending unit and maybe a gauge already had 12 volt what kind of sending unit do i get looked at a member that had a napa one but i don t know if this is the stock tank looks like it should be so i hope you guys know where to get one if not should i find a aftermarket universal kind?

    The stock tank is pretty much a square with a really big 3" filler neck welded in the side. The sending unit and fuel hose connection is directly on top. It hangs under the left side of the bed with two straps.

    No one has really found much that will fit without some pretty heavy mods. Mainly the filler neck position and physical size.

    Other members have built their own from stainless and aluminum.

    I already had an aftermarket fuel gauge and this sender worked perfectly with it.
