    Default Data Plates - #2

I have had my truck for 1 year and 4 months. I have been working on it for 1y4mo. I have only been driving it for 2months.

You would think that I would know what my truck is. I checked all the serial numbers when I titled it.

Last night I was moving it to mow. I looked down at the data plate and I noticed the it is a WINCH truck. WTH!!!

All this time I thought that it was a wo/w, and it really should be a w/w.

Now I guess I will have to find a winch. I wonder in a Deuce winch will work?

So the moral of the story boys and girls is to "read" your data plates and not just "look" at them.

Does it have any winch stuff like the pto, shifter or hole in the floor?

Yes, a M35 winch will work and the shaft. You just need to find a T98 pto. I would suggest contacting Pistolnut. Maybe you two could work something out.
Remember if you didn't build it you can't call it yours.

The winch data plate is missing but two of the rivits are still there. I just never noticed it before.

I don't have a picture of it , but there is a "small" hole next to the drivers seat. It doesn't look like the holes for the Deuce. Just a small slit with 4 screw holes. I thought it looked like something the Forestry Dept had done.

Since I have a spare Deuce winch on my parts truck (you and Kwai missed taking), I may consider putting it on....LOL

Any one with a winch truck that could take a pic of the pto engagement lever?

Heres a view in a 6217...you can see all the shifters with the winch lever being the rear most one, bottom of the pic, center...ft of the trans tunnelcover:

"Missed taking." I believe I had the wrench on the winch when you said "NO!"

Use the frame extensions from the M35 as well. You still need a pto which is why I suggested you contact Pistolnut since he has one, but needs a M35 pto. You two have what the other needs.
