Default Had a good weekend out...

Went to a place called Durhamtown here in Georgia with our local Jeep club. In talking to the owner, he mentioned that Steel Soldiers did an FE there. I can honestly say I have NEVER been wheeling anyplace where the management was so interested in feedback from wheelers on how to make things better. Lots of different terrain, lots of interesting areas, and great facilities.

Other than being hotter than Hades, we really enjoyed ourselves... Right up until the point the engine hydrolocked on FUEL. Pulled the plugs, blew it out and it seems to be fine now.

Cool pics! I never thought to lay the windshield down with the canvas still on, that'll definitely increase airflow!

durhamtown plantation is awesome. I try to take my 4 wheelers there at least once a year. we usually rent a cabin and stay for a couple days.
we went here last year after they had opened the 4x4 trails. I took my rubicon and had a blast . Durhamtown is like a redneck Disneyworld. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I can't wait to go back.

HAHA Redneck Disney World!!! Love it!!! We rented a bunch of cabins for the club. I will say their A/C leaves a bit to be desired, and in some of the cabins "rustic" doesn't even begin to cover it, but we had a GREAT time all in all.

I'm not sure how well it would work without a cage, but with a cage it worked very well, there were points where we were doing 50-60 and the top remained secure with no flapping.

With a heat index of 118* on Saturday, it made ALL the difference in the world. As long as we were moving it was pretty comfortable. With all the dust in the convoys and our red Georgia clay, the wife and I got our Indian look down pat. She called it her "spray tan", and it was pretty good until you got near water...

I was part of the group with SS last year. It is going on again this year. We had m113 apc show last year, a gammagoat, mules, lots of deuces and 5tons. I hope anyone in the area will show up for it this fall. I have been to MANY off road parks and this one is the nicest I have been to. Truck looks good!
