7.3 or 6.0 sounds great but having room for the turbo might be the problem.

Looked at doing the 7.3/6.9, but I put a tape measure on the engine and decided I didn't want to cut the sheet metal on the cab.

What about the old idi 7.3's? Then a remote mount turbo? Or non turbo...

I think the biggest issue with the Powerstroke was the oil pan clearance with the front differential. Haven't done it myself, so I can't say for sure.

I am pretty sure someone here a couple years ago did an older 7.3 N/A motor in a 715.

I thought someone was working on an ambulance with 7.3 a couple years ago. Not sure if he ever finished it but I think he atleast had it bolted in.

i have a spring over lift and a an inch body lift so i think my clearance is better than most,

An old idi would be really cool to out in here

A guy in CT has done this, he works on all kinds of old iron and seemed to make the 7.3 fit into the 715 and function fairly well.
He's got a web site http://www.babyj.us he's a very good fabricator from what I see.

Yeah i think that the old mechanical 7.3 would be an awesome engine in there.. Anyone have pics etc?

I don't know whether or not it can be done, but it shouldn't be done. Why ruin a M715 with a ford motor.
