Default need fuel civy fuel pump #s

I bought a fuel pump rebuild kit from VPW. The kit had diaphragm assembly and lower bowl gasket. No valve seals vacum parts at all.
After reinstalling unable to catch prime.
I'd like to find a civvy fuel pump to replace original until I can get all parts for complete rebuild.
Can anyone give me the correct vehicle to order the pump for or a Advanced or Napa auto part numbers.
    Thank you for any help.

I think a pump off of a chevy 258 will work.
I have one on mine,Took the old pump to Advance and told them to match the arm length.
Then the kid asked what is all this stuff on top of the fuel pump? I told him
Don't worry about all the stuff on the top half,You would'nt understand it.

You can get a kit for both the top (vacuum) part and the bottom (fuel) part from:http://www.maritimedragracing.com/an...rts_cellar.htm

This listing is the one you want to do both:

"DUAL ACTION" (PUMPS FUEL and Boosts Kit: $47.50 to $69.50

    Hey Brute
Do I understand it correctly that maritimedragracing has a complete replacment W/Vac side. Direct bolt on fuel pump? OR just a rebuilt kit with the newer more durable rubber diaphrams. Please advise one of the pumps they show looks very close to the same thing.

    Thanks

They carry the kit, with instructions, to rebuild both the fuel pump and vacuum pump side of the unit yourself with the diaphragms ready for modern fuels.
Several members have used this kit and I have yet to hear of a failure.
