Well, I am getting closer to installing my new 1100R16 XZL tires and I wanted to paint the wheels before I do this. My question is, what color are the wheels supposed to be? Are they the same color as the vehicle or black or ?
Thanks!

Same as the truck...from the factory anyway...

Pro-choice, that's a LIE, babies don't choose to die!!
I figured that, so what looks better. Truck is going the army green (don't have the number on me, maybe 14087?)... would the wheels look better a different color?

In my opinion, no. The same as the body looks better.
Me too. But I am going to leave the hubs black.
Seems that the deuces of that era seemed to get the rims painted flat black after a while. Seen them in all colors, and either matching the body, or a clean flat black both look good.
If you paint the wheels the same as the body color, then flat black hubs look GREAT!
The black painted wheels didn't come about until they started to paint trucks camo. Our trucks would have had matching OD green wheels when they left the factory.
Oops, I should have clarified, when they were WORKED ON, they seemed to get painted black.
