I am in need of a fuel tank. Is there a place where I can get one. If not does anyone have any suggestions. I was thinking about mounting a regular tank underneath and having a false filler inside the original one.

Fuel tanks are hard to find in any condition that one would deem roadworthy.
You can try Memphis Equipment, VPW and Surplus City Jeep Parts...they may have one in a salvage vehicle...
Otherwise having one made or modding a different tank to mount in would be the options to look at...

Do you have a tank at all, or is it missing/damaged beyond repair?
Rusty tanks can be repaired and cleaned, so that may be an option.

It was missing when I bought the truck. So I am thinking about trying to make something up.

I made one, Ryan also made one, mine looks sorta stock made from stainless and coated inside with a fuel-tank liner and outside with lineX, it wasn't really hard.
Ryan made his from Aluminum ( if I remember right) and it looks great.

I had a friend come over yesterday and he saw the jeep. One of his friends used to have one and it turns out that the only thing he had left was the spare fuel tank he got with the truck. No cost just come get it out of the way.
