Thread: twin stick

    Default twin stick

    OK,

Looking for opinions here. Have my 205 apart, and am about half done with the rebuild.

Should I go ahead and do a twin stick, or leave it alone. Not really interested in front digs or anything like that, but it might have it's uses from time to time.

    What say you all?

While you are already there, might as well do it and have it versus changing your mind in the future and going back in.

Just think, twin stick with cable shifters........

I think airshifts are nice for buggies, but for everyday seems like more added maintenance

Last 205 I did the whole operation took less than 1 hour. I'd do it for the "just in case" situation.

For dual stick shifting are there any recommended modifications to be done to the 205 transfer case, i.e. enlargen shifting rod deten groves??

I guess that is the 64 dollar question. I don't really know of any, but that doesn't mean they don't exist. Pulling it off is pretty easy, but un-doing it isn't really an option, without replacing the rails.

it can be a twin stick without the rail modifications, you just wont be able to have front wheel drive only
