Thread: Michelin XL Pic

    Default Michelin XL Pic

Got my XL's mounted on Friday. I know it's not anything new here, but it's fun to look at pictures of other people's truck, right?

I dropped it off at a TCI before work on Friday and picked it up on my lunch break. When I got home that night I took my normal walk around the truck and heard air hissing out of the right front tire.

I took it to another shop on Saturday. We pulled it apart and found a pack of trash bag ties in the tire. We filled the tube with air to find the leak. On the tube there was a perfect imprint of the trashbag ties along with a hole! Apparently the first shop didn't check to see if the tire was clean before putting everything together.

Anyway, the truck looks, drives, and rides a lot better. I'm pretty happy with the result.

Wow Jay, looks like they made for it. What a story about the zip ties?!? Hard to get good 20.00 an hour labor these days.

Hey, those look great. Nice color on the truck, by the way. Looks familiar.

I just got my McCreary Superlug's mounted this weekend, as well. Huge improvement. They are not as nice (or as tall) as the XL's, but I couldn't find any XL's close or in my price range.

Looks great. Let me know if you cruise up to NKC any time. Our forestry trucks might be long lost friends.

Maybe I've lost my marbles, but I'm starting to like yellow 715's.

I think I'd want a black top with the yellow body, but it looks good! Nice rig!
