    Default Steering Linkage Pics Needed

I am going to use a mid 80's high pinion Ford d-60 front axle in my truck. The steering arms are cast as part of the knuckle and look like the steering linkage will hit the bottom of the front springs when installed spring over. However, aftermarket high steer arms look like they will hit the springs too. I know several members have done the spring over chebby axle swap. How did you do your linkage? How do stock chebby arms mount?

Many companies offer raised arms (they bolt on top of the kingpin like a regular high-steer arm), or blocks that go in between the knuckle and the high steer arm. Superlift has them.

I didn't get to my class yesterday because of training. I am here now though and got these pictures for you:

This is what the axles Sermis has for his truck look like. We have a stock stering box on the truck right now and will add a power unit along with a drop pitman later. Anybody know what size drop works best with a spring over?

These pictures work for you Dave?

Thanks Tim. Yes, those help. The lower mount cast into the knuckle looks very much like the Ford one. The upper looks like a flat top. It appears to have more clearance than I thought it would.
