    Default Starter switch part number

FYI, I couldn't find this on the site, but my parts guy found a replacement. I used Carquest:

    SS525 (old number)
    53-27300 (new number)

Either one should cross in their computers. It's not an exact replacement, but it's pretty darn close. The only significant difference is that the posts on the back don't come out at angles, like the original, so it can be a little tricky getting everything hooked up if you don't have any slack. I ended up bending the cable-ends a little to give me some clearance, too.

    Hope this helps somebody.

The above part number SS525 cross references the following Napa numbers:

    MPE ST6SB - $9.49
    ECH ST6 - $16.49 - 12 month warranty

    Great job Chicklin!!!
