Thread: First drive with my 715

    You are shure that this is the original engine? I have never seen a 230 Tornado in a M715 Series truck painted in red! Usually they are in olive drab.

    I don't think I've ever seen an original/stock M715 engine painted in olive drab. I believe that most were just black.

    Mine's red, too. I don't know if it's original or not, but it's red.

    I am pretty sure its the stock motor, After getting a closer look someone down the line but the wrong key on the crank. The key was to small and allowed the balancer to move and over time from the key made the slot on the crank to look more like a bowl. Eventually that just broke the balancer. The crank is pretty much shot but I got a better fitting key and a new balancer on there for now until I get the new motor in this spring when it warms up a bit.
