Default Towbar Attachment to new bumper

Barrman, when you modified the M35 towbar attachments for your front bumper, which did you use? Front or rear? I have both available and was wondering if I should use the 3/4" or 1". Didn't I see a picture of yours somewhere?

Here is what I will be attaching it to.

I used the rears bored out to 1". I used the top bolt of the bumper through the frame and drilled another leaving the 3rd hole open next to the valence:

Then on the motor home recovery, Kwai and I drilled all 8 holes and put a set of fronts on it:

The fronts are better in my opinion. Bigger, already 1" hole and more mounting support. However, they take up more room. I would have been better off cutting the 4th bolt hole off a front set and putting what was left on the M715 front bumper. I was charged $30.00 by a machine shop for boring the holes out to 1". I just didn't want to cut up a front set because you never know what the next recovery won't have.

Mounting them vertical on the front bumper might work for you however.
Remember if you didn't build it you can't call it yours.
