How well would using Ospho 1st, then using one of the encapsulator paints (kbc, eastwood, rust bullet, por15).
My thought is that if you chemically change the rust, scuff it, then encapsulate it, it would be well protected. Am I over thinking this?

Ospho, sand away any big chunks, prime (use a primer with phosphate) and paint.
Thanks kwai. Just so I understand, regular paint, correct?
Thanks, George

The ospho kills the rust so no need for something por15. Once the rust is taken care just prime and paint like normal. I like the primer with phosphate which helps to keep the rust at bay.
Ok, that will save me a few bucks on encapsulation paint...
Thanks, George
