    Default Canvas Top oz.

Anyone know the correct canvas ounce weight for our m715's top? Since there's a price swing of $150. between the high and low and a manufacturers costs are labor, shipping and materials. Using a lighter weight canvas cloth can affect that price.

Ask the different manufacturers what they use for their tops and pick the one that suits your price for value point. Mine is from Surplus City Jeep, good price, seems like good quality, BUT, I would like the bigger rear window offered by other makers.

It will also flap like a mother in the wind, might be more prone to leaks and will not last as long. It will also be weaker and may fail where it stretches over the bows once it has some age to it. You always seem to get what you pay for.
I would suggest the heavier canvas. For waterproofing for either try Canvak found at Cabela's online. Good stuff and I think it is the same smelly junk minus the OD color that is put on by the after market top makers. When Judith was at New Life she told me about canvak.
