    OK can a 24 volt starter be converted to a 12 Volt starter ? Im new to this guys so dont be to hard on me..........I will get better as i own it longer

    The only way to do it with your existing starter would be to have it rewound for 12 volts. A civvy starter canbe found and they are 12 volts. That may be the cheaper way to go.

    Ok so how do I swap my truck over to 12 volts from 24 volts?

    Are you converting for a reason? Some people do it just so they can run 12v accessorys. There is dc-dc converters for that.

    A good starter/alterator rebuilder shop shoud be able to redo the 24 to 12...it will cost some bucks though...
    The civvy 12 volt units are hard to find...but hopefully would be cheaper.
