Anyone used them in the tubes on your M truck? Wondering how they would work with the heavy XL's.

I know people in the past have used them with good results...though there is some type that one has to keep the air going in VERY dry or it will clump and stick to the tire wall in 1 spot
I did a search on the net a couple weeks ago about the same thing. There is a company out there that sells ceramic BBs that go inside the tire. There is a chart that you follow that tells you what amount of BBs to put in. The ceramic stuff is cool, but you can also do it with airsoft BB gun BBs. my boggers will take 12 Oz for a 38.5X15.5X16.5 tire. I guess that you can use metal BBs, but they eventually make chunks of rust. I cant remember the site but it only took me a couple of minutes to find it.
Dynabeads are what I was thinking.

Expensive though.
Do these beads work with tubes?
Hey Jester, are you trying to solve a problem you don't even have yet? Have you mounted them and run them to see if you even need to sweat it? Mine didn't need balancing. I haven't heard of anyone who balanced them at all. And no one has complained of problems.

Have you driven down the road with the Michelin tires? I really doubt you are going to find any balance issues. Nobody I know of who has put XL or XZL tires on a M715 has balanced them or had any issues.
Now, having said that. I had a run of flat tires at the National FE. At one point I was running a XZL on the left front and Binford's XL spare on the right front. I had severe death wobble issues above 45 mph. (I also had severe death wobble issues when I still had NDT tires on the truck.) I put his XL on the right rear and another XZL on the front and all the vibrations and troubles went away.
I personally think you will be throwing money away trying to balance the Michelin tires. It is your truck, so do what you want. I just wanted to throw this out there.
Remember if you didn't build it you can't call it yours.

You know, I never thought about not balancing them. Deeerrrr. Guess I was just thinking that I would have to. Overthinking it.
I will just mount them up and see. They could always be balanced later if really bad.
Thanks guys.
When I put XL's on my stock rims I did not have them balanced at first. The tires I put on were like new with the little rubber nibs still across the tread. They needed to be balanced badly. My rims were NOS and were true on the balancing machine. So maybe I was not lucky on the tires but they ride nice now.

I had mine balanced when they were installed on the MRW wheels. It runs down the road with no vibrations whatsoever. Jester if you are going to be cruising at 50 plus you may need them balanced, if not don't worry.
