Default putting fsj lift kit on m715

how easy or hard would it be to mount a fsj lift kit on the m715 mounts. these would have to be relocated.

how easy is it to change 24V into 12V system?
    what about the lights, etc..

    tnx

To go to 12 volt, change the alternator, change the bulbs to 12 volt equivalent...find the conversion page for bulbs here:

Change out the gauges, besides the speedometer, and the sending units.
If you ave the early style turn signals with the large distribution box under the hood, you need to modify the flasher unit in it or change out to the laer style, solid state units that also came stock on these trucks...I did the swap like this:

The horn will work on 12 volt, just not very well...good to replace it with a 12V unit.

That covers it I think...well...you can get rid of 1 battery or wire them in parallel instead of in series if you like

Leaf springs beween the FSJ and the M715 dont work...different lengths for sure as been posted...different mount sizes to I think.

About the only thing that is the same is the 2.5" width.

Not only are they different, but the stock M715 springs are about equal to 4" lift springs for the FSJs.
So to gain any lift, you would need to get the 6" springs, and change all the mounts out.
If you want to change the mounts out, get the 2 or 4" lift springs and do a spring over for more lift. You will get a softer ride with better articulation. But it's a bit of work, welding, fabrication (nothing new on these trucks).
