    Default Windshield/Cowl Seal

Mine was totally falling apart so I ordered a new one from Memphis Equip. Most of the screws holding the old one on are just little pcs of rust now. No way to get them out. Any issue with just grinding them off flush and cementing the seal on with weatherstrip adhesive? Screws seem like a bad idea in that application.

I drilled the old stuff and used stainless steel replacements...not sure about cementing it...

    Default Welded

I got out those screws I could and ground the rest off. Punched out the remains, welded the holes shut and drilled new holes. Used SS self tapping screws for replacements.

Guess I should not be looking for the easy way out.

A couple tubes of silicone will hold anything in place. I like the ss screws.

Trying to hold the weatherstrip in place not the whole windshield

Will just grind them off and drill for SS screws. Tonight's project I think.

Just grind off the heads, then redrill the holes slightly larger and use the next sixe up screws. That is what I had to do with mine. Luckily my frame was solid, just the strip was rotten and the screw heads were rusted enough I couldn't remove them.

Same here. That is exactly what I am going to do.
